This research examined the relationship between narcissistic leadership and subordinate followership in Chinese context, and demonstrate the effects of leaders’ humility and followers’ traditionality as regulating variable. Based on the survey sample data 208 employees and their superiors, the results show that: 1) Narcissistic leadership has significantly negative effect on followership. 2) The effect of narcissism leadership on followership is moderated by subordinates’ perceived leader’ humility, when followers perceived more humility from leaders, the negative relationship between narcissistic leadership and followership is weaker. 3) The effect of narcissism leadership on followership is moderated by subordinates’ traditionality, when subordinates are much more traditional, the negative effect of narcissistic leadership on followership is weaker.
